Uldis Daugaviņš

Uldis Daugaviņš graduated from Latvian University with a degree in Economics and is an award-winning specialist in marketing and advertisement. In 2007 he received the Annual Latvian Photography Prize for his series New focusing on a cultural role of supermarkets. Daugaviņš is the text author of children’s book Baltais Lācis. Pasaku pavārgrāmata bērniem (White Bear’s Cooking Adventures). Daugaviņš’ collaboration with an illustrator Māra Viška and a renowned Latvian chef Mārtiņš Sirmais resulted in a great picture book for children and adults that was nominated for Jānis Baltvilks Prize in 2017 and recently translated into German and Lithuanian.
