Sabīne Košeļeva
Biography
Writer and journalist Sabīne Košeļeva (1989) has a Bachelor's degree in Communication science with specialization in journalism, Master's degree in Humanities with specialization in creative writing and has experience as an exchange student in Vilnius University, English Studies (Literature, Linguistics, Culture). Košeļeva has published a novel Rīga-Maskava 21. Gadsimta mīlasstāsts [Riga-Moscow. 21st Century Love Story], which was shortlisted for the Annual Latvian Literature Award in a category Best Debut, received the 3rd place in the National Library`s Reading Promotion Programme “Children and Young Adult Jury” in the category “15+” and got writer`s Egons Līvs Memorial Award`s Special Prize. In 2019 Košeļeva published children`s book Gurķis Elmārs, kas dikti kreņķējās [Cucumber Elmar Who Worried A Lot] and the collection of short stories Vientulības ministrija [Ministry of Loneliness], which was nominated for the Annual Latvian Literature Award in a category Best Prose Work. Sabīne Košeļeva Participates in prose readings and publishes in cultural media, covering topics such as spiritual growth, trauma healing, moral values of society, physical and psychological violence and sexuality, and other aspects of relationship. She works in online media since 2012.
