Ruta Svaža

Ruta Svaža (1957) is a translator and children`s books writer. Graduated from Latvian State University, Foreign Language`s Faculty, the English Language and Literature. Worked as Managing Director Baltic States of Swedish Company Arctic Paper for more than twenty years.

Her debut in literary work started with series of exciting picture books about little girl Baiba. Incredible, thrilling adventures, which take place in the real and dream world include: Runča vakariņas (Tomcat`s Dinner), Gaisa kauja (The Air Battle), Tracis bērnistabā (Ruckus in the Children`s Room), Naudiņas ceļojums (The Coin`s Journey) Pazudušais Salavecītis (The Lost Santa Claus), Sniegavīrs palīgs (Helpful Snowman), Mixed-Up Fairy Tales. Recently exciting children`s novel Pelesdēls Gudrinieks (Mouseson the Wise) has been published.
