Biography

Krista Anna Belševica is a young writer, based in Riga, Latvia, working as a policy maker of higher education she is also a translator, researcher and poet, currently working on her second collection of poetry and first collection on short stories. She also writes book reviews, articles about various topics and organizes literary events, mostly for other young poets who like to experiment with the written and spoken word. Her first collection of poems, Hunting life came out in 2017. In 2020 she was included in the bilingual poetry edition if you forget your name as one of the fifteen contemporary poets, writing experimental poetry in today’s Latvia.
