Kirils Ēcis
Biography
Kirils Ēcis (b. 2000) is a Latvian poet and musician, best known for his band Alejas. His poems dwell in the shifting spaces between childhood and adulthood, dreaming and waking, the tragic and the comic — tracing the uncertainty and strangeness that lives within them. Ēcis believes that poetry can simply help us live. His debut collection here's that dear little summer (te nu ir tā vasariņa, published by Neputns) carries that same belief.
In the meantime, he studies cross-disciplinary arts in Vienna, writes for theatre, and walks in nature.
