Justīne Janpaule
Biography
Justīne Janpaule (born in 1989 in Riga) is a Latvian poet, literary critic and translator. She graduated with a BA in Intercultural Communication from the Latvian Academy of Culture, and did her internship at the Inalco institute in Paris. Since 2008, her works have been published in various literary magazines and in outlets online. She is a creator of the Punctum digital magazine, writes literary critiques and works as a translator and poet. Janpaule has great presence in the contemporary Latvian literary scene, and is one of the promising, subtle, and unique young voices of her generation. Tālsaruna/ Long-distance Call, published in 2015 by Mansards, is her début collection of poems.
