Biography

Ingrida Tārauda (1971) is a multilingual Latgalian poet writing in Latgalian, Latvian and Russian. She is the author of five poetry collections, with her work being shortlisted several times for literary awards in Latvia. Based in Ireland, where she works as a teacher of Latgalian, Latvian, and Russian, she is also the founder and head of White Gate, a club for Latvian authors living in Ireland. In addition, and also organizes online poetry and prose readings. She is a member of the Latvian Writers Union and Irish Writers Union.
